Choosing the Right Club Membership
Before registering, please ensure you are selecting the appropriate club for your age group.
Sutherland District Athletics Club provides membership for athletes aged 5 years and over, including Community, Under 20, Open and Masters athletes.
Children aged 4 to 12 years who wish to participate in competitive athletics during the summer track and field season should register with a Little Athletics club as their primary club. For athletes within the Sutherland Shire, Port Hacking Little Athletics provides age-appropriate coaching, competition and athlete development opportunities for younger athletes.
Athletes aged 5 to 12 years may also join Sutherland District Athletics Club through an eligible membership category to participate in club activities and selected NSW Athletics winter competition events.
Membership Types
Community Membership
Community Membership is designed for recreational athletes and supporters who wish to be part of the club community. Members can participate in club activities, training opportunities and social events. For athletes aged 12 years and under, this membership also provides eligibility to represent Sutherland District Athletics Club in NSW Athletics sanctioned cross country and winter competition events.
Multi Club Membership
Multi Club Membership is available to athletes who are already registered with another affiliated club of NSW Athletics and wish to also represent Sutherland District Athletics Club. This membership allows athletes to maintain their primary club affiliation while accessing eligible competitions and opportunities through Sutherland District Athletics Club, subject to NSW Athletics and Athletics Australia regulations.
Please note: For multi club membership, including existing members of a Little Athletics club, multi club membership is gained by submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) to NSW Athletics.
Open Membership (Under 20 & Open)
Open Membership is the club’s full competitive membership for athletes aged 13 years and over, including both Under 20 and Open age groups. This membership provides eligibility to compete in NSW Athletics and Athletics Australia sanctioned events and represent Sutherland District Athletics Club in track and field, cross country, road running and race walking competitions at local, state, national and international levels.
Volunteer Membership
Volunteer Membership is available to volunteers, coaches and NSW accredited technical officials who support the club through administration, event management, athlete development, officiating and other club activities. These members play a vital role in creating a positive experience for athletes and ensuring the successful delivery of club and athletics events.
Membership fees do not include entry fees for NSW Athletics, Athletics Australia or other sanctioned competitions. Entry fees for eligible events are payable separately at the time of registration.
