MEET OUR COACH | JACINTA DOYLE

Athletics has always been part of Jacinta Doyle’s life. Growing up in a family deeply involved in the sport, she developed a passion for athletics from an early age. Under the influence of her father, renowned athletics coach Paul Hallam, Jacinta progressed through the ranks as an athlete, ultimately earning selection to represent Australia at the 2007 World Youth Championships.
Today, Jacinta continues that legacy through her own successful coaching career and through OUTfit Coaching, helping athletes of all ages discover their potential and achieve their goals.
Specialising in sprints, hurdles, long jump and middle distance events, Jacinta works with athletes of all ages and abilities, from grassroots participation through to elite competition. Drawing on her experience as an international athlete, she is passionate about building confident, resilient athletes and creating an environment where hard work, enjoyment and personal growth go hand in hand.
In addition to her coaching commitments, Jacinta has served as Head of Athletics at Endeavour Sports High School since 2015, playing a significant role in developing young athletes and fostering excellence both on and off the track.
Through OUTfit Coaching and her work within the school system, Jacinta has built a thriving coaching program that supports athletes at every stage of their development. Her coaching achievements speak for themselves, with numerous athletes progressing to State, National and International representation.
Among the athletes she has coached are Australian representatives including Ivy Boothroyd, Mia Toohey, Telaya Blacksmith, Tammin Lampret and Jasynta Lampret.
Ivy Boothroyd earned her first Australian team selection in 2024, representing Australia in the Under 18 800m at the Oceania Athletics Championships. She has since continued her progression through the sport and was selected to represent Australia again at the 2026 World Athletics Under 20 Championships.
Mia Toohey was a finalist in the 3000m Steeplechase at the 2024 World Athletics Under 20 Championships, while Telaya Blacksmith represented Australia at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games and is the current Australian Open Para Champion in both the 100m and 200m. Telaya also holds multiple Australian Open and Under 20 para athletics records.
Jacinta’s impact can also be seen through the success of many emerging junior athletes. Among them are Matthew Faulkner, who set the Australian National Record in the 2000m Steeplechase in 2026, and Harlow Pate, who holds Australian records in the 100m, 200m and 400m in both 2025 and 2026.
Another athlete to flourish under Jacinta’s guidance is Channing Taylor, who claimed the Australian Under 10 Boys 800m Championship in 2024 before adding the Australian Under 12 Boys 800m Championship title in 2026. Channing also secured the Australian Under 11 Boys Cross Country Championship in 2024, highlighting his versatility across both track and cross-country competition.
Other notable junior achievements include Sophie Howson, Australian 90m Hurdles Champion in 2025, and Cameron Badger, who set the Australian Under 16 200m Hurdles Record in 2024. Ronia Simpson also achieved outstanding success, setting an Australian record while competing for Sutherland District Athletics Club.
Closer to home, Jacinta has also coached outstanding state and national performers, including Ella Randazzo, Australian Junior 400m Champion in 2018 and 2025 NSW Open 400m Champion, and Jessica Wardrobe, Australian Junior 400m Champion in 2019 who has since joined OUTfit Coaching as a coach herself.
These achievements reflect Jacinta’s ability to develop athletes across a wide range of ages and disciplines, from junior development through to national champions, Australian representatives and international competitors.

Coaching Philosophy
“The journey is the dream.”
“For me, athletics is about much more than medals, personal bests and podium finishes. It is about embracing the process, learning from challenges, celebrating progress and enjoying the experiences that shape athletes both on and off the track.
My favourite coaching quote, shared with me by Paul Hallam, and one that has stayed with me ever since, is:
‘A good coach can change a game. A great coach can change a life.’ — John Wooden
Those words continue to influence my approach to coaching today. I believe that a coach’s role extends far beyond developing athletic performance. It is about building confidence, resilience, character and a lifelong love of sport, while helping athletes become the best version of themselves both on and off the track.”
Outside of Athletics
“When I’m not coaching, life is just as busy. I have three children who keep me well and truly occupied with their own sporting commitments, so there is rarely a quiet moment in our household!
Staying active is something I’m passionate about, and I still love challenging myself through training and competing in fitness competitions each year. You’ll often find me in my home gym, which is where I spend much of my spare time.
One of my favourite places in the world is my husband’s family farm in Byron Bay. We make the trip there twice a year, and it has become our home away from home. It’s a place where we can truly slow down, relax and enjoy country life while our children spend their days riding motorbikes and exploring the property.
The farm holds a special place in my heart, as it’s also where my husband and I were married. For me, it’s the perfect place to reconnect with family, recharge and enjoy some time away from the busy pace of everyday life.”
