Role Description
The Club Captain serves as a leader, role model, and ambassador for Sutherland District Athletics Club. The role is responsible for fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for all athletes while promoting sportsmanship, respect, and club pride.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent the club and its athletes at competitions, presentations, and official functions.
Act as a positive role model through leadership, attitude, commitment, and behaviour.
- Support and encourage athletes of all ages and abilities, helping to build a welcoming and inclusive club culture.
- Assist in strengthening communication between athletes, coaches, and the club committee.
- Promote good sportsmanship and respect for officials, competitors, volunteers, and fellow club members.
- Encourage participation, team spirit, and engagement in club activities and events.
Support the committee in representing the interests of club members and fostering a strong club culture.
