The Treasurer is responsible for the financial management and stewardship of the Club and works closely with the Executive Committee to ensure the Club remains financially sustainable and meets its legal and reporting obligations.
The Treasurer oversees the Club’s financial records, budgeting and reporting, and provides advice to the Committee to support sound financial decision-making and the responsible management of Club assets and resources.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the Club.

Manage the receipt, banking and payment of Club funds in accordance with Committee approvals and Club policies.

Present regular financial reports to the Committee, including income, expenditure and account balances.

Prepare and monitor the annual budget in consultation with the Committee.

Provide advice to the Committee on financial matters and support informed decision-making.

Ensure competition fees, membership income and other monies owing to the Club are appropriately managed.

Present the annual financial statements to members at the Annual General Meeting.

Arrange for the review or audit of the Club’s financial statements where required.

In conjunction with the President and Secretary, ensure the Club complies with its Constitution, regulations and relevant legal and reporting obligations.

Endorse financial reports and other Club documentation as appropriate.

Provide a report for inclusion in the Club's Annual Report.
Financial Management and Governance
The Treasurer plays an important role in safeguarding the Club’s financial resources by:

Monitoring income, expenditure and cash flow to support the long-term sustainability of the Club.

Overseeing the preparation of monthly financial reports and bank reconciliations.

Managing banking arrangements and authorised signatories as approved by the Committee.

Reviewing insurance requirements relating to Club operations and assets.

Supporting the financial planning of championships, special events and other Club activities.
